Deadly crash in Outagamie County

Update as of 8:30 a.m.

We have learned one person died in an early morning crash in Grand Chute Monday.

Officials say a 31-year-old man died at the scene.

Officials say the crash happened on Highway 41 near Capitol Drive.  They say the driver left the road north of Capitol Drive and crashed through a fence along Highway 41, continuing across Rifle Range Road and striking a snow bank.

Grand Chute Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to call them at 920-832-1575.

The accident has been cleared.  Roads are back open.

We still don't know if there were any injuries.

Update as of 7 a.m.

The road closures have changed.  Traffic is now being diverted off to 441 from Highway 41 southbound.

Traffic can no longer get all the way to Richmond.

There are some road closures now in connection with that crash in Outagamie County.

The one vehicle crash was reported on Highway 41 southbound near Capitol Drive, which is the Grand Chute area.

We just spoke with Outagamie County officials, they tell us 41 southbound is shut down at Richmond and 441 northbound to 41 southbound is also closed.
