Red kettle match day Saturday in downtown Appleton

APPLETON - The first “match day” of the Salvation Army red kettle season is coming up on Saturday.

Appleton Downtown Inc. and 19 downtown Appleton businesses say they will match up to $1,000 donated at select red kettles on Nov. 17.

The money will go toward the Salvation Army of the Fox Cities’ $1.2 million goal for its 2012 Christmas campaign. The Christmas campaign funds programs throughout the year.
