Appleton Medical Center opens new tower

APPLETON - A new building is opening at Appleton Medical Center .

The eight-story building will open Monday with patient rooms featuring, as other hospitals do, a system of collaborative care with various medical professionals near the patient.

Hospital officials hope the new building will help contain costs and say a test of the new system, on average, shortened a patient's hospital stay.
