Attempted robbery reported in Appleton
Suspect demanded money, left without stealing

APPLETON - Appleton police are looking for the person who tried to rob a convenience store on the city’s north side Friday morning.
Officers say around 6 a.m., someone walked into the Citgo store, 111 W. Wisconsin Ave., approached the counter and demanded money. He then turned and ran away without taking anything. No weapon was reported.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 6-foot-2, weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Tom Poss at (920) 832-5500. Anonymous tips can also be sent via text message to 274637, using the keyword APDTIPS.
