Appleton police seek church thief

APPLETON - Appleton police are looking for a man they say stole from a church office.

Officers say the man walked into east entrance of Sacred Heart Church, 222 E. Fremont St., around 12:45 p.m. Monday. He took a wallet and a coupon organizer from a purse that was inside a drawer in an office. He then walked out of the doors on the north side of the building.

The thief was described as a black man in his late 40s to early 50s, between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11, with a medium build. He also had a goatee.
