Aviation fans take flight at Flightfest

OSHKOSH - Aviation fans gathered in Oshkosh Saturday.

It's all part of EAA's 10th annual Family Flightfest.

People could take part in plenty of aviation-related activities.

They included flying in the Wright flyer, to taking part in a paper airplane competition, and more.

Organizers said the event is a great way to discover the opportunities aviation has to offer.

"It just ignites that spark, it continues that spark in getting kids and families engaged in aviation. We are a world class museum that we're operating here and we're just trying to keep everybody engaged with the aviation spirit that we do here at EAA," said museum director Bob Campbell.

The event also takes place Sunday from 10-4.
