OSHKOSH - Want to raise backyard chickens in the Oshkosh? You now can under a new ordinance in effect for the city.
The Oshkosh Common Council passed the resolution in March allowing the birds in some areas of the city.
Those wanting to raise chickens must fill out a license application and pay an annual fee of $10. They must also get written permission from their neighbors.
Roosters are not permitted.
