APPLETON - A basketball clinic in Appleton was about more than teaching kids some new skills. It was also about helping others.
Fourteen-year-old Jordan McCabe hosted Saturday's event at the Appleton Alliance Church.
McCabe spent the day teaching hundreds of kids how to dribble, pass and handle a ball.
Beyond teaching new skills, McCabe organized the event to help out Braeden Jansen, 6, who is battling Leukemia.
McCabe said it's been great to see the community come out to support Jansen and his family.
"It really feels good to know that the community in general is really, they feel, connected to him, and feel that they can help him. And if they can help him, and if they're gonna do that even at times of need for someone, then that's really good," said McCabe.
About 300 kids participated in the event.
All of the money raised will go to Jansen and his family.
