A Neenah company is offering matching donations to two area Salvation Army groups.
The Bemis Company Foundation says it will match up to $25,000 donated to Fox Cities red kettles and $25,000 to Oshkosh red kettles on Dec. 16.
This is the second time Bemis has offered a match in the Appleton area and its first match for the Oshkosh area. Bemis’ 2010 donation helped bring in a total of $68,580 for Appleton area red kettles in 2010, according to the Salvation Army.
“Bemis is proud to be part of the communities where we live and work, and our Red Kettle Match Day is just one more way our employees and our company can be actively involved in showing our support,” said Tim Fliss, Bemis Company Vice President of Human Resources and Chair of Bemis Company Foundation, in a news release.
The Fox Cities corps has set a goal of $1.2 million for this year's red kettle campaign. In Oshkosh, the goal is $180,000.
Bell ringing ends Dec. 24.
