MINNESOTA - A young Fox Valley boy battling a rare and painful skin disease, is back in the hospital.
Charlie Knuth's mom said on her Facebook page that her son is being treated for a blood infection.
Saturday evening, Trisha Knuth posted an update on Charlie's condition.
She said a chest X-ray showed some pneumonia, and that her son is on multiple antibiotics for full coverage.
Charlie's blood pressure has gone from dangerously low to stable.
Trisha said the family is hoping that the infection is the culprit of his low counts.
If not, she said there is a problem with the marrow.
Charlie is being treated at a Minnesota hospital.
Earlier this year, he had his second stem cell transplant to battle the painful disease.
