APPLETON - The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is making money for the second straight year, after several years in the red.
According to the financial report released Thursday morning, the PAC brought in $1.5 million more than it spent in 2011. That's a net gain of about $200,000 from the year before.
The downtown Appleton venue increased its fundraising revenue. PAC president Susan Stockton credits the improved economy and a successful endowment campaign.
"The last year we've had significant growth in our subscriber base, in the number of tickets that we're sold, and the amount of income that we have earned as the well the income that has been contributed," said Stockton.
The PAC hosted several Broadway shows last season, including a three-week run of "Wicked."
