Funding approved for taxiway project

GREENVILLE - Funding was approved Wednesday for a project to extend a taxiway at Outagamie County Regional Airport.

$225,000 in state and county funds will be used for the work.

State transportation officials say the project will increase safety at the airport by eliminating the need for pilots to cross active runways.

The taxiway extension is scheduled to be completed by late spring.
