House fire in Grand Chute

GRAND CHUTE - UPDATE: Firefighters have ruled the fire an accident. It caused $227,000 in damage.

Fire crews in Grand Chute say an afternoon house fire is now under control.

It broke out Monday around 1:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of W. Parkridge Ave.

When crews arrived they say saw fire and heavy smoke in a garage attached to the home.
    
The fire then spread to the attic.
    
Fire officials say one person was inside and able to get out safely.
    
There's no word on what might have caused the blaze.
