FOND DU LAC - A New Berlin man has been found guilty on four counts related to a dog attack against his son in Fond du Lac County.
Prosecutors say Joel Kennedy, 43, helped tie up his son and watched as another man, Richard Lisko commanded Lisko’s dog to attack Kennedy’s son Joey. According to the criminal complaint, Lisko accused Joey Kennedy of stealing coins and morphine pills from Lisko's Campbellsport farm in August.
Joel Kennedy was found guilty of false imprisonment, failing to aid a crime victim and report the crime, substantial battery with the intent of bodily harm and first-degree reckless injury. He was found not guilty of injury by negligent use of a wepon or explosive and resisting or obstructing an officer.
Kennedy is set to be sentenced Feb. 21.
Lisko is set to stand trial Feb. 11.
