GREEN LAKE - A Green Lake County funeral director has been ordered to stand trial on charges she was dealing heroin.
Melissa Wachholz, 25, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty Wednesday. Wachholz was arrested in May after a disturbance outside Wachholz Funeral Home in Markesan. Police say they found heroin and paraphernalia in her car and more paraphernalia in her house. Officers say Wachholz confessed to going to Milwaukee daily to buy more heroin, when selling it from her driveway.
Investigators say the funeral home was not affected by the arrest.
If convicted, Wachholz faces up to 20 years in prison. No trial date has been set.
