APPLETON - Aviation lovers gathered in Appleton Sunday for the Valley Aero Modelers Club annual RC show and auction.
Enthusiasts from throughout Northeast Wisconsin browsed more than 140 tables of colorful model airplanes.
The event included a model competition and raffle.
The show also gives the hobbyists a chance to buy or sell model aircraft.
"Normally the guys like to build during the winter time. They'll build it, they'll fly it for a season or two, and then they'll say OK it's time to build a new one. They'll bring it to the auction, sell it, and get a few dollars to invest in a new airplane and away they go," said event emcee Bob Johnson.
The event is in its 29th year.
