APPLETON - A local museum took visitors back in time for a special Christmas gathering.
The Hearthstone Historic House Museum in Appleton hosted a Victorian tea party Sunday.
It's part of the museum's Victorian Christmas celebration.
A character actor hosted the event as Mrs. Rogers, one of the home's original owners.
Guests sat down for tea, sandwiches and desserts.
People also took a tour of the home.
"It's getting together, having a conversation...and it's based on the Victorian times. So, what it would be like to have tea here at the Hearthstone during the time the Rogers lived here," said museum volunteer Stephen Weis.
The tea party was a one-day only event.
But, there's still time to experience a Victorian Christmas.
Holiday tours run through January 2.
