Work is set to begin Monday on a project to add rumble strips to many area highways.
The Department of Transportation says center line and shoulder rumble strips are being added to help alert drivers that their vehicles have drifted out of the travel lane.

Work is set to begin in Marinette County and will generally move north to south, the DOT says. All roads will stay open, but traffic may be backed up.
The project will cost $1.8 million. Century Fence of Green Bay is the main contractor.
Construction is set to wrap up in November.
