Obama nominee has local tie

APPLETON - A recent nominee to a post in President Barack Obama’s administration has a local tie.
President Obama has nominated Bill Baer to the post of assistant attorney general for the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice.
Baer is a member of the Lawrence University Board of Trustees. He graduated from the university in 1972 and went on to earn a law degree at Stanford University.
Baer is currently chair of the antitrust practice group at Arnold & Porter LLP in Washington, D.C.
