APPLETON - It may not be Saint Patrick's Day yet, but that didn't stop some people from celebrating their Irish heritage Saturday.
Celtic music, dancers, trivia and traditional foods showcased Irish culture in Appleton.
McGuinness Irish Pub hosted the Irish Heritage event.
It was created to help people learn about the Irish and their ancestry, apart from the holiday that often defines them.
"There are far more Irish people in America than there are in Ireland, and most of them cherish their past and their ancestry. And we want to help to promote that and keep it alive," said the pub's owner, John McGuinness.
Saint Patrick's Day is just a few weeks away, on March 17th.
