APPLETON - A plea deal has been reached in the Jamie Sames case, prosecutors say.
Sames, 36, is accused of posing as a police officer and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl outside the Target store at the Fox River Mall in March. Prosecutors said the Shakopee, Minn., man convinced the girl to follow him behind a dumpster, where he touched her inappropriately.
Terms of the deal were not made available. A hearing has been set for Friday morning in the case.
A jury trial, which had been scheduled for next week, was canceled.
