MILWAUKEE (AP) - Ripon College has a new president.
Zach Messitte was inaugurated as the Ripon school's 13th president on Saturday.
The 44-year-old was formally introduced at his inauguration by his first boss, George Tenet.
Tenet is the former director of Central Intelligence Agency under Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush and the 2004 winner of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Tenet became Messitte's mentor in 1990, when Messitte was just out of college. They both worked for the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence as staffers for former U.S. Sen. David L. Boren from Oklahoma.
Messitte and Tenet remained close since then.
Messitte was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and grew up in Maryland.
