A woman who spit on another woman at a political rally should be issued a disorderly conduct citation and will not face criminal charges, a special prosecutor has decided.
Mary Hoglund, 83, showed up at a Romney campaign event in August, when she got into an argument with a Romney supporter. During the exchange, Hoglund spit in another woman's face.
The case was referred to Green Lake County District Attorney Kyle Sargent for review. Grand Chute police say they received a letter indicating no criminal charges will be filed. Sargent says the citation, which carries a $277 fine, is more appropriate.
Grand Chute police say the citation will be issued in the coming days.
