Names released in fatal crash

TOWN OF METOMEN - Fond du Lac County sheriff’s officials have released the names of two people involved in a Wednesday afternoon crash near Brandon.

Sheriff’s officials say they were called to the intersection of Sheldon Road and Brandon Road in the town of Metomen around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday. A vehicle headed west on Sheldon Road did not stop at the stop sign and hit a vehicle headed north on Brandon Road. The westbound vehicle then burst into flames.

The man driving the northbound vehicle, 61-year-old John E. Reibold of Brandon, was killed. The woman driving the westbound vehicle, 27-year-old Danielle S. Ver Duin of Sheboygan, was thrown from her vehicle and suffered serious injuries. She was airlifted to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.
