WAUPACA - A suspect is behind bars after a robbery and two attempted robberies in Waupaca County Thursday morning.
Just after 3 a.m., Waupaca police say they were called to the Grand Seasons Hotel, 110 Grand Season Dr., in Waupaca. A female had gone up to the front desk and demanded money. She did not display a weapon, but indicated she had one.
Then, just after 10 a.m., sheriff’s deputies say they were called to Primrose Gardens and Gifts in Manawa. A robber matching the description from the earlier attempted robbery had gone in and demanded money. After she left, the business owner got a picture of her license plate.
Then, at around 10:25, police were called to Feminine Touch, 103 N. Western Ave., in Waupaca. The clerk told officers that a female walked in and tied her up. The robber left the store with an undetermined amount of cash and the store phone.
Police say an officer then saw the suspect’s vehicle pulling into a Hardee’s restaurant. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested a 34-year-old woman.
The case is still under investigation.
