BELLEVUE - Authorities have identified the victim of a Jan. 27 crash in Bellevue as 26-year-old Andrew Steiner of Howard.
The crash happened a little after 12 a.m. Jan. 27 on Highway 172 at the Lime Kiln Road overpass. The Brown County Sheriff's Department says it started when two vehicles collided.
Steiner and another person who saw the crash stopped to check on the victims inside an SUV. That's when a third vehicle, a minivan, crashed into the SUV, launching the two off the overpass. They landed in the ditch. Steiner suffered severe injuries, and the other suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Two people in the SUV and a passenger in the minivan suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Two other people involved in the initial crash were not hurt.
