Baby left in car; Green Bay woman arrested

GREEN BAY - A Green Bay woman was arrested after allegedly leaving her 10-week-old baby locked inside a vehicle.

Green Bay police officers responded to Walmart West on Friday at around 7:15 p.m. after receiving a call that a baby was left in a vehicle.

At the time, officers say the vehicle's windows were rolled up and the doors were locked.

According to officials, the child in the vehicle was not moving. Officers feared the baby was not breathing and were forced to break a window to get the child out.

The child was taken to a local hospital where it was treated and released to another family member.

The child's mother, a 24-year-old Green Bay woman, was arrested and taken to the Brown County Jail on charges of child neglect.
