DE PERE - Football is on the minds of many this weekend.
But for some local kids, Saturday was all about baseball!
2012 marks the fifth year for the Jason Berken Baseball Camp.
Berken is a 2002 graduate of West De Pere High School and is currently a pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles.
Local youth get a chance to practice with the pros.
The two-day camp helps kids learn about drills in pitching, catching, hitting, and more.
Berken says it's just a great way for him to give back to his hometown community.
"We try to focus on a lot more than just baseball. It's important for me to tell these kids you know I'm a major league baseball player, but first and foremost I try to be a good person and try doing anything I can to help. And we try and spread that word to them as well," said Berken.
There were more than 100 kids who attended the camp.
Berken says he's already planning for next year's event.
