ASHWAUBENON - People gathered in Ashwaubenon Saturday to assemble hundreds of packages for troops overseas.
Prevea Health employees put together care packages for troops serving in Afghanistan.
It's part of the "Operation Prevea Holidays" event.
The 420 packages include items like socks, towels, books, snacks and more.
Organizers said as the holidays are just around the corner, it's a great way to remember troops.
"If people are looking for something extra to do for the holidays, we're hoping that this will be a reminder that there are thousands of our family members serving in harm's way, and it would be a great opportunity for the holidays as well," said Deb Mauthe with Prevea Health.
Each package and soldier has a connection to a Prevea employee.
This is the second year for the event.
