ASHWAUBENON - A house in Ashwaubenon caught fire early Tuesday morning.
It happened at 917 DuChateau Lane, about four blocks south of Lambeau Field.
When firefighters arrived on scene, flames were shooting out of an upstairs bedroom window.
The owner was home at the time and later told investigators he could smell something burning and noticed a haze of smoke in his home.
When the homeowner went to investigate, he found an upstairs bedroom on fire. After trying to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher, the homeowner called 911.
Firefighters were able contained the fire to the second story bedroom.
There were no reports of injuries. Smoke and fire damage is estimated at $60,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
