ASHWAUBENON - A 21-year-old Seymour woman has been ticketed in connection with a crash that killed a 17-year-old Ashwaubenon boy.
Ashwaubenon Public Safety officials said their investigation showed Deanna Filipiak was driving north in her pickup truck on Packerland Drive July 15 when she hit Adam DeGrave’s moped while she was trying to turn left onto Highway 172.
DeGrave was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Filipiak was cited for failure to yield while making a left turn, causing death. She is due to appear in Ashwaubenon municipal court Oct. 27.
Speed, alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash.
