Driver's profile increases after winning show

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver's national profile has markedly increased since winning "Dancing With the Stars."
    
The team's all-time leading receiver is no stranger to promotions and has worked with McDonald's, Nike, Kwik Trip and Goodwill. But his marketing agent, Brian Lammi, said Driver is in high demand.
    
"We certainly have felt an immediate increase in PR requests and national media requests," said Lammi, who said he recently signed a new, 25-year deal to work with the Packers star. "We also had a number of requests for national speaking engagements."
    
Driver visited a Waukesha school on Friday, his first appearance in the state since winning the show with dance partner Peta Murgatroyd on Tuesday.
    
"He has an incredible story. Outgoing, personable guy. He's about overcoming obstacles, working hard and staying focused," Lammi said.
    
Now, Lammi is looking for some bigger, more meaningful deals for the 37-year-old Driver, who has spent his career with the Packers since joining the NFL in 1999.
    
"We have pared down some of his commitments, so we can look for deeper, more integrated relationships. We are in a good position to add a few," Lammi said.
    
Driver is expected to be back with the team next week for organized team activities. He's entering the final year of his contract and team officials haven't said if he will return next season.
    
Lammi said Driver is making the Packers his top priority.
    
"He passed on some appearances to get back to Green Bay," Lammi said. "He would very much like to have a future with the Packers."
    
A television special featuring Driver will air June 1 in Green Bay, Madison, Wausau, La Crosse and Eau Claire, and in Milwaukee on June 5.
    
It's is "a real unique way for Donald to be able to thank all the fans and all the supporters statewide," Lammi said.
    
"I felt the love from the beginning all the way to the end," Driver said during a take of the special's taping. "The Packer Nation has been behind me for years. They wouldn't let me down. So I'm glad I was able to bring this back to Wisconsin."
    
Lammi said they are planning some community events around the "Dancing With the Stars" concept that will include Murgatroyd, but wouldn't offer details.
