GREEN BAY - Green Bay Packers linebacker Erik Walden reached a plea deal in the domestic violence case against him.
If he stays out of trouble for a year, the judge will clear Walden's record.
In Brown County court Friday, Walden plead no contest to the misdemeanor disorderly conduct domestic abuse charge against him.
This deal comes less than a week before Walden was set to stand trial.
Walden pleaded not guilty back in December.
Walden's live-in-girlfriend told police he became physical with her during an argument Thanksgiving weekend. The girlfriend later changed her story, saying Walden defended himself when she went after him.
Neither Walden's attorney nor the prosecution spoke after court.
Walden himself responded quietly to Judge William Atkinson's questions.
As long as Walden stays out of trouble for a year, the charges will be removed from his record. If there is an issue, Walden could get 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.
The judge also limited Walden's contact with his then-girlfriend to situations dealing with their children.
