GREEN BAY - The Packers might not be heading to the Super Bowl, but one player is taking on a different kind of bowl.
Packers tight end Jermichael Finley teamed up with Feeding America Wisconsin and Walmart in an effort to help fight hunger.
It is part of the first ever "Defeat Hunger Bowl."
All month long, residents can help fight hunger by donating non-perishable food at area Walmart stores.
Finley says it's a great feeling giving back to those in need.
"Grab a bag. Fill something up with it, and then just throw it in. And you are doing it for a great cause, and it's kind of helping you out too, you know what I mean. It's a heartwarming feeling,” said Finley.
FOX 11 is also one of the partners for the event. Our very own Drew Smith was Tuesday’s emcee.
