GREEN BAY - Some local children received the gift of a smile Friday.
Fifteen children received free dental services at the Dental Associates clinic in Green Bay.
The free exams are part of the "Give Kids a Smile" campaign, which helps children from low-income families receive dental care.
That included cleanings, fillings, and a goodie bag to help them maintain their teeth.
“We want to help these kids. A lot of these kids that come can't get access to care anywhere else. They either don't have the money or the insurance or the transportation. A lot of barriers to care. So we'll take these kids at no charge,” said Dr. Matthew Langewisch, Dental Associates.
During Children's Dental Health Month, dental assistants will visit schools to teach children how to get and keep healthy smiles.
