GREEN BAY - A local wildlife sanctuary was teeming with activity Saturday night as families gathered for some frosty fun.
The Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary in Green Bay hosted its 6th annual "Frosty Family Fun Night."
It offered families a rare opportunity to explore the park at night.
People could walk the sanctuary's trails, warm up by a campfire, and even learn how to snowshoe.
Organizers said it's a great way to get people out of the house and into the wild.
"This is just such a great event. You can come out, learn about nature, be outside in it, and just enjoy winter in Wisconsin. And that's so important, for all of us, said event chair Lori Vankson.
The sanctuary will use the proceeds from the event to help care for injured and orphaned wildlife.
