MADISON - State consumer protection authorities are investigating a now-closed furniture store that had a location in Green Bay.
Several complaints have been made about Furniture Deals & Steals, officials said. Customers said they paid for items which were never delivered.
Anyone in a similar situation is asked to file a written complaint with the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. Include copies of contracts and proof of payment if possible. Department officials also say customers should check their credit card statements. Under federal law, you have 60 days after the charge first appears on a billing statement to dispute a charge.
Complaints can be filed online at datcp.wisconsin.gov , via email at datcphotline@wi.gov or by phone at 1-800-422-7128.
