GREEN BAY - The Green Bay City Council has scheduled a special meeting for Tuesday to discuss the lawsuit filed by the Oneida Seven Generations Corp. regarding the council's decision to revoke a permit for a trash-to-energy facility.
According to agenda published Wednesday, the meeting is at the request of Mayor Jim Schmitt and the city attorney's office to discuss the legal actions.
The city council approved a conditional use permit for the facility on Hurlbut Street on March, 2011. It voted to revoke the permit Oct. 16. The Oneida Seven Generations Corp. filed two writs against the city in circuit court on Nov. 14. No court hearings have been scheduled yet.
