GREEN BAY - Green Bay police say a 52-year-old man has died after a hit-and-run crash on the city’s east side.
It happened Sunday around 7:24 p.m. in the 1400 block of Main Street.
Officers say Daryl Wayka of Green Bay was hit by a vehicle which had been traveling west.
Wayka was transported to the hospital with a serious head injury, but he later died.
Police say the suspect vehicle is a 1999-2005 Pontiac Grand Am. It may be a two or four door vehicle and silver or white in color. The driver’s side mirror is believed to be broken and possibly hanging by a power cord.
"We do have some witnesses that we're working with to develop leads, but we encourage the community to call with any suspicious activity," said Lt. Kevin Warych, Green Bay Police Department.
