GREEN BAY - You can help turn the page for kids in need in Brown County.
The Give-A-Kid-A-Book program kicked off Monday morning.
The program collects donated new books for children and teens of low-income families in the area.
Honorary chairperson Betina Driver was at the Brown County Central Library to help launch the 23rd annual campaign.
"I just think that reading is really important to kids," said Driver. “I think it is important to instill a sense of reading to kids. Because number one, reading can take them places that sometimes they are not able to go.”
During Monday’s event, the Brown County Community Women’s Club and Associated Bank each presented checks for $2,500 to support the campaign.
If you would like to help out, donations can be dropped off at any Associated Bank or Brown County Library location.
The collection runs until December 10th.
