GREEN BAY - An overnight fire on Green Bay's east side caused about $50 thousand in damage and forced three people from their apartments.
The fire broke out Thursday just after 1 a.m. in the 2300 block of University Avenue, above a pet supplies store.
Officials say it began on the stove.
There are two apartments above the store.
Authorities say everyone was able to get out safely.
University Avenue had to be closed while firefighters put the fire out, but it has since reopened.
