GREEN BAY - Seven people have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a teen on Green Bay’s east side.

Jeremy Teller, 15, was shot and killed just after 11 p.m. Tuesday at 1127 Smith St., behind a cousin’s house.

At a news conference Thursday, police said Teller was shot once in the back. Previously, they had said he was shot twice.

Five people were arrested Wednesday night at a home on Fish Creek Rd. in the town of Oneida. They are Brad Tower, 20, Celia Holguin, 21, Samuel Godinez, 17, Miguel Garcia, 25, and Julio Gonzalez, 18. Police later arrested two others, Issac Robbs and Terill Gutierrez.

That's where police say 15-year-old Jeremy Teller shot and killed Tuesday night.

"Jeremy Teller was in the wrong place at the wrong time, he wasn't involved with these individuals," explained Green Bay Police Lt. Andy Lewis during a press conference Thursday afternoon.

Green Bay police say the seven individuals now in custody drove to that residence Tuesday night.

Authorities say the suspects went there to confront a man they believe was visiting the home at the time.

According to police, one of the suspects, Bradley Tower, had a fight with that man earlier in the day.

"Jeremy Teller was not involved in the earlier fight," Lewis said. "Unfortunately, Jeremy and a friend were leaving out the back door of 1127 Smith Street just as the other individuals pulled up and got out of the car."

That's when police say suspect, Julio Gonzalez, pulled out a gun.

"Julio got out of the car and fired two shots from the .38 caliber revolver," Lewis explained. "One of the shots missed Jeremy's friend, another shot struck Jeremy in the back, he later died from the injuries he received from that gun shot.”

The next day, authorities tracked the suspects to a residence on Fish Creek Road in Oneida.

After at least four hours on the scene, five people were arrested.

Two others were taken into custody Thursday afternoon.

Gonzalez is the only one expected to be charged with first-degree intentional homicide.

Police are recommending party to the crime charges against the others.

Authorities don't believe the incident was drug related.

All the suspects are expected to be in court Friday. That's when prosecutors are expected to file charges.

Teller's family declined to talk with us on camera.

However, off camera, they told FOX 11 they're glad the suspects are in custody and at this point, they just want justice to be served.
