GREEN BAY - Green Bay police are trying to figure out if several break-ins of churches are related.
Officials said eight incidents have been reported in the last several months, the majority on the city’s east side. Burglaries have been reported at Ss. Peter and Paul, St. John and St. Mary of the Angels.
Most of the break-ins happened at night, with the culprits breaking windows to get in. In some incidents, a small amount of money was taken; in others nothing was reported stolen. The only damage to the buildings appeared to be the broken windows.
Any church that has had a break-in and has not reported it is encouraged to contact police. Anyone with information can call Green Bay police (920) 448-3208 or Crimestoppers at (920) 432-7867.
