GREEN BAY - The YWCA of Green Bay and De Pere has announced a new campaign to raise money for programs and upgrade facilities.
A silent campaign for "Opening Doors" has already raised almost $3 million. The organization is now asking for the public's help to raise another $600,000 to reach its goal of $3.3 million.
The organization says the campaign is necessary to fund after-school programs, plus it will help fund the Women's Closet program, which provides free clothes for women who are either financially struggling or preparing for a job interview.
"They let me go shopping so I could dress appropriate for my new job, which I got, and I just think this is a wonderful, wonderful program," participant Jackie Summerville said.
Upgrades to the facility include a new roof and updates to the pool. Individuals or businesses interested in donating can click here .
