GREEN BAY - A restaurant said to be part of the new vision of downtown Green Bay has opened.
Hagemeister Park is on the CityDeck on the east bank of the Fox River.
It's on a site that used to be part of the area's entertainment mecca generations ago.
It's been open since Sunday.
The owners saying they're glad to be part of what they hope will be an economic rebirth downtown.
"Having new neighbors, with Associated putting its headquarters down here and Schreiber putting their headquarters down here, the KI Convention Center will be exciting. They're going to be enlarging. It's going to bring that many more people downtown,” said Jess Miller, Hagemeister Park.
The restaurant also features an outdoor bar with fire pits and seating on the patio.
The restaurant takes its name from the Packers' original home field about a dozen blocks to the east.
