GREEN BAY - Some folks in downtown Green Bay were splishin' and splashin' for a good cause Saturday.
The Green Bay YWCA hosted "Jingle in the Water."
It was an open swim event, but with a holiday twist.
The YWCA partnered with the Arthritis Foundation to put on the fundraiser.
Some people who took part even came decked out in holiday gear.
Organizers said swimming is a great way to ease tension on the joints.
"Many people who suffer from arthritis and have joint pain, warm water helps greatly reduce pressure and makes them feel better," said Stacey Swaer with the YWCA. "This works in correlation with that, and helps ease joint pain for people in Northeast Wisconsin."
Funds raised will go directly to support arthritis research, health education and help improve the lives of people with arthritis.
