GREEN BAY - A utility company is holding a nuclear job fair in Green Bay next week.
Xcel Energy is looking to hire employees of Kewaunee Power Station, which is scheduled to cease power production next year.
Dominion, which owns the plant, announced in October the closing of the town of Carlton facility. The move is leaving 650 people without a job.
Xcel is now seeking to hire some of those workers for jobs at two nuclear plants in Minnesota.
If you are interested, the job fair will be held next Thursday and Friday at Country Inn & Suites on Kepler Dr. on Green Bay’s east side. It runs from noon to 8 p.m.
Xcel officials say Kewaunee employees should bring several copies of their resumes. To preview job openings before the event visit jobs.xcelenergy.com.
Representatives of Xcel Energy’s Nuclear Departments will be available at the job fair to meet with Kewaunee workers.
