BROWN COUNTY - New details are being released in a fatal three vehicle crash on Highway 41 in Ashwaubneon.
Authorities say the crash happened around 8:47 Monday night just north of Glory Road.
Brown County sheriff’s officials say the crash happened when a driver of a semi rear-ended a Toyota Highlander causing that vehicle to rear-end a Ford Explorer. All three vehicles ended up off the road.
Authorities say the driver of the Toyota, 78-year-old Robert Roloff of Allouez, was killed. The driver of the semi and the driver of the Ford were not injured.
Northbound lanes of Highway 41 near the crash site were shut down for several hours. The highway reopened around 2:00 Tuesday morning.
Authorities believe that the Ford and Toyota were traveling under the speed limit at the time of the crash. The crash remains under investigation. Any witnesses are asked to contact the Brown County Sheriff’s Department at (920) 448-4382.
