Police arrest man with sawed-off shotgun

GREEN BAY - Green Bay Police officers responded to a call at Schnicker’s bar Sunday night for a call that a man had a gun and was planning on shooting someone who “ripped him off.”

Officers got to 813 S. Broadway Ave at about 9:00 pm and confronted Richard McNew.

Officers determined that McNew had a loaded sawed off shotgun and was planning on using it at Brewski’s bar.

After a search, police also found marijuana and illegal prescription drugs.

Police took McNew into custody and is being held on multiple charges, including carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
