GREEN BAY - The owner of a downtown Green Bay bar will voluntarily surrender her liquor license before May 31.
The city says for years it has been gathering complaints against the owner of Liquid 8. The documents show 16 major incidents at the N. Washington Street bar in the past three years. That includes two stabbings.
Just last week, Green Bay's assistant city attorney filed a request to revoke the bar's liquor license. Now with an agreement in place the revocation proceedings won't be necessary. In addition a hearing in front of the protection and welfare committee tonight has been canceled.
Jim Mueller, the assistant city attorney, issued a statement this afternoon saying, “We feel that this agreement is in the best interest of all parties.”
